Your role as a Product Development Engineer

As a Product Development Engineer, you will be key in driving innovation by developing new products and ensuring the exceptional quality of our IONM (Intraoperative Neuro Monitoring) and CNP (Clinical Neurophysiology) portfolios. From initial concept to final implementation, you will be a part of the entire development process. Together with a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will deliver high-quality solutions that strengthen our product portfolio.

This role is mainly on-site in our Kerkrade office, giving you plenty of opportunities to work closely with your team.

Your responsibilities

• Develop and review design prototypes, perform tests, and finalize product design to facilitate mass production
• Analyse new components, materials, and technologies to evaluate feasibility for all new product development
• Analyse and perform quantitative assessments of design prototypes in line with regulatory and industry norms
• Conduct performance analysis of prototypes and ensure manufacturability of products follows the company's quality parameters
• Comply with the internal Design Control process and/or Change Control process while developing prototypes and products
• Create and maintain project, design control, and change control documentation
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers and internal stakeholders
• Support manufacturing process improvements, ranging from labeling enhancements to design changes, at internal manufacturing facilities and external suppliers

Who you are

As a Product Development Engineer, you work closely with a cross‑functional project team, using your analytical mindset and problem‑solving skills to move ideas forward. You are comfortable working in a project‑driven environment, from milestone planning and design reviews to critical path analysis. You also bring:

• A engineering degree at the Bachelor or Master's level, preferably in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a similar field
• At least 3 years of experience in a Product Development role, preferably in the medical devices industry
• Knowledge of SolidWorks (is a plus)
• Ability to analyse the user needs to design appropriate solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
