

Your role as a Project Manager
Do you want to be in charge of challenging projects in the medical device sector? We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for successfully managing and coordinating new product development projects and sustainment projects, ensuring delivery within time, budget and scope.
This role is based in Kerkrade, the Netherlands.
Your responsibilities
In this challenging role, you will lead project teams and ensure that each project is delivered within the agreed time, budget and scope. You will work closely with the R&D Program Manager and regularly report the progress of your assigned projects to key stakeholders within the company, including the Senior Leadership Team. Other responsibilities include:
- Continuous improvement of processes related to new product development;
- Actively participate in project tasks as required to ensure the project is delivered on time;
- Collaborate and build strong relationships with external design firms or design consultants;
- Comply with applicable Design Control, QMS and stage gate processes when managing product development projects;
- Create and maintain project documentation.
Who you are
To be successful in this role, you have at least 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in a strictly regulated environment, such as the medical, automotive or military sector. You are used to working in a structured way and know how to keep overview while managing the details. You take ownership of your projects, communicate clearly with different stakeholders and are comfortable working in a dynamic, technical environment. You will also bring:
- A bachelor's degree or higher (BSc, MSc or PhD), preferably in a technical or engineering field;
- Experience in a medical device R&D environment is a plus;
- Experience with project-based working, including milestone planning, design reviews, critical path analysis and project budgeting;
- PRINCE2 or other project management certification is a plus;
- Advanced user of MS Project or similar project management software, and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Proactive and self-starting, with the ability to keep the bigger picture in mind while managing day-to-day activities;
